Bowling
Well I have just finished celebrating my birthday and it was fun. I went bowling with the fam and it was fun. The only thing is that I had the worst scores in my life. I started off wearing my dad's old shoes because they are a little tight for him. We started bowling and my dad started complaining about the rental shoes. He kept saying they don't slide. He went up and exchanged them for another pair and we continued playing. After a couple more fames he said we needed to switch. So I put on the rental and started to bowl. Let me tell you this was the one of the craziest moments in bowling I have ever had in my life, well second. I slipped and fell on my first throw, a little slippery than I expected. Well anyway, I went up and my form was beautiful. I started to approach as the ball took my and brought it back like a pendulum. When the ball got to my side on the return motion I was about to get ready to release the ball. I started to release and when I put left foot flat and would begin to slide I immediately stopped and the ball jerked out of my hand and went somewhere off the side and I almost went down. The shoes just did not slide at all. As hard as I tried as soon as my heal was flat on the ground it was like I had hit a wall because I just stopped moving. This caused me to swing the ball and instead of going down the center the jerk of the stop moved my arm and the ball went into the gutter. I thought maybe I needed to get used to the shoe. Trust me, that did not work and as much as I tried to compensate for the sudden stop I could never get a good enough throw. I felt that if I continued not being careful my arm would fly out of my socket. I went to the front desk this time and went to see if there were any better shoes. The guy running the desk said (mind the language) "They are all pretty shitty. You just got to pick your own poison." I did a switch with another pair. They were better but not by much. Instead of an immediate stop I got a half second slide before the sudden stop. Let me tell you these were the worst designed bowling shoes I have ever seen in my life. You really cannot call them bowling shoes, they are strictly bowling shoe look-a-likes. My dad and I ended up switching shoes every time we went to bowl. I just slipped them off and gave the shoes to my dad and he slipped them on. My dad was like you have to be quick so there was no untying and tying involved. Besides the shoes being so cruddy I had a great time.
