Family

Well this weekend is my Grandpa's 80th birthday so all the family came down from out of area. So some of my family is staying with us. That means that we have a packed house. Seven people in a three bedroom house and two bathrooms. But besides being a little packed I am actually enjoying this. There is nothing like being with family. I know that when we get my uncle down here we always have fun. It is also nice becuase they live near Reno and they don't come out much.
Tonight when I got home from work they were all here and were getting ready for dinner. I do have to say dinner was the best in a while. We were all sitting around and laughing and telling jokes. It was really nice to have them here and it will be sad to see them go on Sunday. To me there is nothing like the good times you get when you have your extended family over and chatting and having fun. It is like this great feeling I can't describe. In today's society you don't always get to be with your family because you move out and then you see them once in a while. The worst is when they move pretty far away and you hardly ever see them. I almost wish that our society was a little closer when it comes to family because I think family is important. I remeber the last time I was with my dad's brothers were were up at Huntington Lake having a great time. Now here is the funny story. So my dad's brother dave and would walk up to my dad and say hey gregg what are you doing which is really funny because that is my dad's other brother's name, but my dad would respond. Then my dad would start laughing and go did you just call me gregg and my uncle dave would go yes tom I did. Funny thing is that all four of us would do the same thing to each other and we did it all weekend long. We were all laughing and when the weekend was up and we left and that could have been a good thing because we could actually call each other the right name then. Just funny all the good times we have.

Rush Hour 3

This movie has been long over due. I have been waiting ever since I first saw Rush Hour 2 for this movie. Let me tell you that I was a little bummed when I found out that they were not going to be in New York just because they ended the second movie with them going to New York. But I do have to say that they did a great job writing this script. I thought the relationship between Carter and Lee got pretty funny and very enjoyable. There were some scenes that just had me falling off my chair when you looked at them and going what that is what Carter does not Lee. I do have to say that having them go to France was pretty funny and I think that is what made the movie. Just whenever you see the movie remember the Cab driver. I think tha the is the best character in the whole movie. Overall I would rate this movie 5 out of 5. I think that the movie could possibly top the other two movies and those were really good. I just thought that Carter has now got some skill and now that he can sorta handle himself I predict that they will have another film and it will get pretty good. I just got to keep my eyes open for anything that would lead to another film. I do have to say there were a couple scenes were there was some bad acting, but the acting was from one character and it wasn't totally awful. Well I hope you all go out and enjoy this film and laugh as hard as I did.

The Review

Well I just got back from seeing the movie Bourne Ultimatum and now I am going to do a review for you.

The first hour I was totally lost as to what was going on. The second one ended with Jason in a room looking at Pam Landy while talking on the phone. You would totally assume that that is where they would continue the film. Well that is not how it works in this movie. I guess they go back a few months and start there. He is in Austria I believe and then jumps to another country then to another country. What I don't understand is the timeline on how this whole thing flows because it ends ok in the second movie but the timeline shifts back and then works its way to the end of the second movie and then continues on to give you the rest of the story.

After that little confusion I really started to understand how the movie was progressing. I do have to say that the movie was action packed and awesome. The camera work was mostly done while someone was holding the camera and moving around, and as we know, this gives us the Blair Witch Project feel. It started to get hard to follow in a couple of spots. The car chases were awesome. The only thing is the chase in NYC was hard to see at times to make out what was going on, but it was still pretty awesome. I just wish it was a little longer. The chase I cannot say if it will rate as high as Ronin, but it did have a different prospective. You get a totally different car chase feel when you are destroying everything, including your car. Most of the movies I see they damage the car, but it is not totalled beyond repair. But I guess that is the feel you get from the Bourne series. The movie starts a low, but it is still filled with action and then builds and builds. Then when you start to get to the climax it just gets beyond measure and then still builds more. I thought the ending was done very well and it left me very satisfied.

Just a side note, the audience was awesome. We were clapping, doing the ohh ahh thing, and then going yess!!! I had a great time and I hope that your audience gets it to it like we did.

Vista

Vista has been out for several months now and when you buy a computer today you are pretty much just going to get Vista. I was just wondering what some of the thought were on Vista. I myself want to see an upgrade from XP but from the things I was hearing before the release worried me and now I have been totally against Vista. I just think that in order to run vista you need a screaming machine, but not everybody has a screaming machine. So it is not good for a person who buys a lower model unit because it can't hadle Vista and then they are sorta stuck with it. Now I do have to say it looks really nice, but I don't see how that is worth it. I myself am a Mac user so I have all the pretty GUI so to speak so I don't have to worry. But the thing is with the apple you don't really see a performance hit when running all the features that make it cooler and cooler. But there is other issues for my switch. I work at a comuter store and all I hear is do you sell anything that is not Windows Vista. So it sorta makes me a wonder a little if Vista is all that great. I have herd some postives on the whole Vista deal, but I am not sure the pros out weigh the cons. Check this out everybody. One of the managers built a screaming machine with an Intel E6300, 2gbs ram (I think he might have more), dual 8600GTSs, the intel board from the Intel combo pack, and inside an Antec Nine Hundred case. He tells me his older computer by a year or so boot XP faster than his new machine boots Vista. Interesting isn't it. Does that just mean Vista is just insanely huge? I don't know, but I would like to hear some thoughts on Windows Vista.

Borne Vs. Bond

Well this has been a topic between a few of us at my work. In a Hand to Hand combat who do you think would win James Bond or Jason Borne?

I personally believe that Jason Borne would win just because he can read your moves and he has thought a few moves ahead that he should be able to take you down. Also he is very quick and very well trained in Martial Arts. I don't know how long the fight would last, but I don't think it would be long. The thought of Borne winning has been the general consensus of all of us at my work.

Then I thought I would take it up a notch and ask if Bond and Borne were to be each other's targets who do you think would win. Now with this one, the first rule would be that the Bond would be Daniel Craig just because Casino Royale was very realistic, and he can kick but. The other rule is no crazy gadgets and you all know what I am talking about.

I have mixed feelings about this only because Bond has resources that Borne may not have. They both have different ways of getting their targets which makes be unsure of who could actually win. But I have the feeling that it would be Bond. That could just be my bias thought there. The people at my work are also on the fence with that vote as well. It seems like it is tied down the middle.

I just wanted to know what you thought about this topic.

The End

Well tomorrow night at 11:59pm the Borne series will come to a conclusion. I don't know about many of you, but I am looking forward to this day. In 2002 we got a glipse of his life and we learned a few things about him and the treadstone program. The second film Borne Sepremacy we found out that it is convient for people to frame things on him but find out that they should never have framed him. We learned that the CIA will do whatever it takes to kill him. We got a little glimpse at the end of 2 that he has a real life. I wonder if going back through his history will lead him to remembering everything. This movie should be one of the greatest movies this year and possibly in history. The production teams have done well in the past and I can only imagine that they will make this film better than the other two. From the trailers I think they will be great especially the car chase I was watching from the trailer. Every movie had a car chase and they always get better and better. I think this chase could probably go at the top of car chases. The chase from the movie Ronin was one of the best I have seen but from their standards this chase should top my list. I would diffenately say this will be your typical action movie, but on steriods. I will be seeing it at midnight and I will try to get a review up for it ASAP.
